    Which diagnostic computer works with a 1997 F355 (5.2) system? Can I get it a the local auto parts store?

    I have one that I think should have worked. Does the engine have to be running ?

    the OBD port only reads when the ignition is on

    ... and the immobiliser has to be disarmed.

    That’s helpful. Because I hooked up a diag computer and it starting reading but failed. I’m assuming because the imobilizer wasn’t disarmed.
