Hi everyone, new GTS owner here of a 2022 GTS which I got with 2K miles on, and I have noticed an oil leak on top of the manifold, very little as well and oil in the air intake filter and air intake covers.

There is a thread located here about this https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/812-keeps-leaking-oil.656219/

I wanted to ask has anyone else experienced this and did Ferrari say exactly what the issue was?

To confirm I checked the engine oil and while engine is hot the oil is below the min fill line, so its not high in oil.

So I’ve had a similar issue with my FF. Every single service has been done on time and at the dealer since new, still under the factory extended warranty too…. My car will periodically get oil in the intake boxes and on the air filters…. After taking it in to FofSF twice now for the same issue, they finally confirmed with the factory and got back to me with the following response:

“the recommendation is simply to further reduce the engine oil level. All V12s from 599 onward have a recirculating PCV system *without* an air / oil separator. At high rpm, it is common to see this amount of oil entering the intake system. Reducing the oil level to close to the minimum would still leave you with +/ 10 quarts of oil.”

Thank you for posting the response from Ferrari. This is helpful, that is still a ton of oil left for the engine, so its a fair point, I will try that.

Ferrari should have a proper PCV system, in this day and age having a $400,000 car pull oil in vacuum into combustion chamber is a bit unacceptable. The only car I have owned in 25 years that did this was a cheap Ford mustang. You need to design the PCV system hand in hand with the increased power/tighter engine tolerances. It looks like PCV system in these v12 never advanced pass the 25 year old v12s from 1999.
