    Hello all,
I am starting to consider the idea of pursuing one of these cars. But the reality is, I don’t know squat about Ferraris. I’ve been browsing F chat for the last few weeks and watching auctions on BaT, but I feel like I really need to learn more about these cars and owning them rather than taking a blind leap. I would really love to meet some local owners in my area who are willing to share their knowledge and experiences. I just honestly don’t know where to start when it comes to building my knowledge base.

    Thanks

The first thing I'd say is that buying is one thing, maintenance is another. The cars you're looking at, I believe but could be wrong, all require an 'engine out' service for belt replacements(s). Quite costly! The first car that didn't require engine out but still used belts was the 360. They switched to chains, eliminating belts altogether, on the F430.

Since I don't have Bruce Wayne/Tony Stark money, I went with a '10 California as my daily driver and have been loving it!

    HTH and good luck!

Yeah…the maintenance is a lot. Would need to find out who people use locally. Apparently the 308 can do the belts without dropping the engine out. But you could fill volumes with what I DON’T know.
