Here is the main reason for this pull. The flywheel and the clutch were stuck. Not looking pretty . This was not coming out unstuck. I am now pulled more into a mechanical restauration. Headers will be sent out. They looks silver mate from the factory.
all new suspensions. Will order today. All the steering bits will be restored. Dry iced bay. Engine to be opened for all gaskets. Transmission seals. Carbs redone.
Waiting for the entire quote at this point. At this point the car will be there probably til spring.

I will probably do the clutch on my LP400S next year. Where did you find the bits?

Did you change the pressure plate? If so, did you use the original? Pricey(!)

the plan is to restore all tubes and press new fittings. they are working on a quote. the choice as to remanufacture exact dupes.
the entire clutch is being rebuilt kevlar/carbon. new only what core part could not be reused and yes, not cheap any of it. the problem since you go there is that the cost of engine out requires you to address everything.one just can do the clutch and not address every oil seep, clean it all up, change every doubtful component.
the car is now automotive history and an appreciating asset with its demands.

So, you are replacing the pressure plate? Or do you still need to assess it?

My clutch is 45 years old, but has only traveled 9000 km. Still works, but as I am going to address a leaky RMS anyways…

Anything non-wearable that can be restored will be. anything else will be new.
I think they’ll refinished the pressure plate unless damaged. I ll ask specifically.
