    regarding post # 60,

two of the photos show the interiors of the right and left heads,
I've studied them a lot and can't quite make sense of what appears to be an unexpected difference
in both right and left the valves seem to be perfectly centered between the head bolts (acorn nuts) which is expected,
and the camshaft bearings are offset so the bearing is closer to one cam than the other cam, which is also expected,
and it seems the left head cam shaft bearings are -not- aligned with the head bolts (acorn nuts), which is also expected,
but what's not expected is that it seems the right head cam shaft bearings -are- aligned with the head bolts (acorn nuts)

I'm expecting that in both heads the cam shaft bearings are -not- aligned with the head bolts (acorn nuts) in order
for there to be a way to get a socket and socket wrench extension down to where the (acorn) nut is, so I am
confused about the photo of the interior of the right head.

any explanation or info (or better photos!) would be greatly appreciated

    thanks,
    Peter A Lawrence

AHHA, it was my own mis-perception, the bolts holding the cam shaft bearing caps are offset,
allowing for a cutout in the bearing cap where access to the head acorn nut is needed.
very subtle, took a while to notice !
