Tracking a Mondial

I've never tracked my 3.2 cabriolet, but I do know that folks who have run our cars closer to the limits say that they handle better than a 308 328 series due to the longer wheelbase. I think the cabriolet wouldn't be a good choice because of the inherent flexibility in a convertible design. The coup would probably be stiffer for that application.
Also, considering our cars are GT's, not really "sports cars" I don't really think they're suitable for the track.
Some tracks won't allow cabrioles due to the lack of rollover protection, this is something important to consider.
And considering the age of our cars something will break! Lol!
I also think track use would be hard on your adjustable suspension and power steering. My 3.2 doesn't have those features.

I have tracked my 3.2 coupe at Spa/Francorchamps race track
There is some power, the brakes are not so bad and the handling is fair
I can compare with 348 and F355 and it is not light years behind
Do not track the cabriolet because it not safe in case it goes upside down
The same applies to 348 and 355 spider

 

It’s slow as hell, amazing fun, and you’ll sound great.
