I own a Ferrari Testarossa that I believe might be quite rare. The car has a Rosso Corsa exterior with an all-tan interior — no dark brown dash or upper side panels, everything is finished in tan. From what I’ve read, this may have only been available as a special-order option, but I’ve never actually seen another one like it.

Has anyone else come across a Testarossa in this combination, or does anyone have information about how many may have been built this way?

I’ll admit, the fully tan dash does create a lot of glare when the sun is low, but personally I love the clean look it gives the interior.

Would love to hear from others who may have seen or owned a similar spec, or know more about the history of this option.

    Thanks in advance!

I looked at a 512TR with a similar interior a few years back, even the steering wheel was tan!

I passed, partly because I wanted dark carpet and dash.

Apparently it ended up being sold to someone just south of Boston (I'm a little north of Boston) but I haven't managed to find the owner. Another local 512TR owner did see it at a car show a while back, so it's around.

There are Testarossas with beige seats and black dashes from the factory. Different color carpets could be specified as well. (Weirdly enough, though, it's thought that you couldn't specify the front boot carpet color, and there's no guarantee that the front boot carpet matches the rest of the interior!)

While I've never seen an all-beige interior TR, it doesn't surprise me that it exists and would have come from the factory that way, if it's original. For enough money, even back then, you could have (almost) anything done, at least color-wise, to your new Ferrari.

FWIW, I have seen a 308 with an all-beige interior. I seem to remember it was bought new by Gil Nickel, the founder of Far Niente wines, and a prolific Ferrari collector.
