    Hi,

I now have my Speciale 6 months, and almost daily it (4-5 days a week).

I adore the car, and often find myself going to the garage just to look at it in the evening.

The single and only thing I am disappointed with, is the start up sound. It is incredibly underwhelming. I've fitted an exhaust valve controller, and it now starts up with the valves open, but it still just very underwhelming... and not very "Ferrari like" as one friend described it.

I expected a high pitch / rev roar from the car on a cold startup, similar to most V12 Ferrari's and some of the older V8's. I've also read that the Speciale is actually quiter than the 458 Italia on startup too.

I've looked at some of my other naturally aspirated cars (Huracan EVO (V10), 911 S/T (F6), etc) when they are on a cold startup, and while they are all different engines with different ECU settings, I've noticed that the 'cold rev idle' is noticeable higher on most of my other cars, hence they sound louder on startup.

It seems the Speciale has a very low 'cold rev idle', which is why it is noticeably quiter?

I don't want to reprogram the ECU for my childish pleasure :) but is this a known 'thing' with the Speciale?

Thank you in advance for your help.
