Does anyone know where to buy a new defrost switch for a 85 308 QV GTS? Apparently the previous owner had glue when the backside of the switch body which broke in half.. During the removal of the console today, it came apart and its unrepairable.. UGH!!!!

Please provide photo of the switch removed / broken. The majority of paddle switches are made by Lucas. This would be two position switch. The round handle is reusable.
I usually purchase the corresponding Lucas switch.

The non round handle from a new Lucas switch can be pulled off and your round handle pressed in by hand and transfer retaining nut to new switch.

Careful to get the right switch. My QV defrost switch and your QV defrost switch are completely different.

Which is why I asked BlackHorse to provide photo.
Photos of USA 1985 308 QV show a Lucas 2 position switch. I have seen the pushbutton variety in some 83QV USA photos.

This is a Lucas switch per my previous post. If you have the remains of your original switch compare to the ones per my previous post. Much lower price and you take the retaining ring from the original one and transfer to new switch. The round knob pulls off. You pull off the Lucas knob on the other switch and press on the round knob. It appears it is the simple two prong Lucas switch.

Show photo of original switch remains. This will help in determining the switch you need.

Yea the Lucas/Ford switches are much cheaper. I took mine apart after the retaining ring came loose and it’s LUCAS.

A 20 year old memory for me, but I recall that the rocker switch in your picture was also used in a late 1970's EU Market Ford Escort. I bought an Escort switch for mine back then, and it was identical.

I'd bet that a search in the parts sticky thread at the very top of this forum section would bring forth the details.

Yes, it's a Ford part. I believe I have the PN somewhere.

The one I purchased didn't have the faux chrome perimeter, which to me was a plus.

Hmm...can't seem to edit in a photo...

Thanks! I saw that in a google search but it didn’t sound right that it was a ford escort part. Thanks for confirming that it’s compatible.
