    Hi All,

My Turn blinkers/indicators are flashing too fast (like a bulb is out) both right and left side. No LEDs in it, all bulbs seem to work, and the Hazzards work normally and flash at the correct speed. Any ideas?

Should I check the relay module, if so where is it?

How come the Hazzards are fine and not the signal/indicator lights? Must be a logical solution.
    Kind regards
    Tony.

The flasher is on the bulk head up behind the glove box- you can pull it out.

Have a look at Scuding.com They make one for a f430 and you hear it operating, better than omg

I had the same issues with my 360 flasher relay, rather than spend $250 I simply removed the relay from under the passenger foot well and used a small flat screw driver to open the relay. I found a cold joint in the solder connections and just resoldered them. Been working fine now for over 5 years. Give it a try nothing to loose but $250.. Good luck..

Thanks for the help, i will take a look at the unit as an ex electronic engineer myself. I think the 360 is slightly different as I didn't think they had an indicator module like the 430?

Great tip, I'll try my mates and see if that cures it..if so I'll try and repair my unit first and look at them if no joy.

The oem has very little sound when operate, having had 40 years in heavy engineering i find it useful.

My 360 did that - turned out to be the alternator. It was not totally dead so it didn't illuminate the battery light - it was only charging 11.5/12 volts. Once replaced the turn signal frequency returned back to normal.

So, check your voltage at the battery, the main terminal behind the drivers seat, and at the alternator.

Different module, but most likely they suffer from the same dry joints in time, especially those where the connector pins attach to the circuit board.

I will open it up and check, for sure if I find when I swap it with the working one on my mates 430 that it is the problem.

I will do, i keep it on a battery trickle charger so maybe I can try it with that connected and car not running, the voltage should be fine then. Ill check the voltage with a meter when started and off to see if it goes up to 14v also. Thanks for the tip.

So I have established that it is my blinker box as swapped with a friends and it flashes normally. I have removed mine (its like new) and cant see any dry joints. The hazzards flash correctly, so any ideas would be great. I assume the relay its self if fine as works correctly on hazzards (double the load I guess).

Italian colour codes in parentheses. Plug graphic is the car harness connector as viewed from the contact side, not the wire side (so you may have to flip the graphic to show the flasher module pin orientation)

Here's the full wiring diagram (with colour decoder):

(home made diagram based on some rather dodgy OEM diagrams). See green box in the middle of the diagram.

I'm not really sure what would cause your issue (the 360 is easier to diagnose).

I can't remember if hazard lights hyperflash (by design) anyway. I think on earlier cars only the L/R turn signals do that (???).

    Still didn't get a refund? :p

Half the RH Engine diagrams were missing.... and in some cases the diagrams showed 3 wires from completely different systems going to the same pin on one plug.

I've forgotten who has the paper diagrams for the standard 430 (not the Scud). Hopefully they are better.

    Thanks, Mike.
It's hard to say how many pages are missing, but we have no RH Bank Engine Fuel Electronic Management (Chapter FD0800) & RH Bank Injection Cable diagrams (Chapter FD0802).

e.g. I don't know how power goes from the fuses and relays (in relay/fuseblocks CBR9-A~C) to the RH ECU (E006) via connector YR and XR 41.

We don't have the RH bank equivalent of this diagram:

I think even some of the LH engine wiring diagrams are missing. e.g. I can only find one wire going to the MAF (Z309).

I guess too many pages to find. The guy who produced the diagrams seems to have put a lot of effort into converting the paper diagrams to pdf (including wordsearch), but I think he got lazy in the final chapters. With Dominick's permission, maybe I can send you the pdf files and you can compare them (noting that they are for the Scud)?

    Sorry for the thread drift.

I think i have the right and left fuel management system. 43 pages and then they doubled side. I will get something in the next couple days.
