Finally reinstalling the dash after fighting with the fitment on the new headlights for days.

In the workshop manual, it says that "After replacing the instrument panel, you must run a learning cycle."

Does this simply mean turning to position 2 and waiting for check ok? I'll ask Rod tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone here knows.

Not exactly sure, I had to insert a disc to reboot my entertainment system after a movie company blew out my speaker during a “Die Hart” movie shoot. I’m sure your guy will know. Let us know if your car is back up and running after your cluster repair. I’m still procrastinating on my 430 repair, it’s resting quietly in the garage while I’m driving my GT500. I’m taking my Vette off the lift next month and putting the Mustang back up so no rush on this Nonsense!

The more I keep thinking about this, the more I think there has to be something/things causing it beyond a failure in the cluster motherboard. Not that it isnt happening, but I think something is causing it.

Could be as simple as years of batteries getting too low and wrecking havoc. Could be some other electrical items that aren't functioning perfectly?

I say this because my issue is so weirdly sporadic and not consistent. Seems to happen when the car is started often and driven little (times it's been in the shop or similar places). Sometimes it happens when the battery has been on a full charge. Sometimes it doesnt happen when the battery hasn't been on a charger for 2 weeks and the car hasn't been driven at all.

Sometimes its 5 seconds of beeps, sometimes its a minute.

There's other beeps/noises happening that sound different but similar. High pitched noise that seems to go along with RPM. Occasional single loud beep when first driving.

I could be overthinking it and chalk it all up to this cluster issue/italian electrical systems. Just seems so weird.

Also, do we really need the beeps? Can we just remove a speaker?
