The lambo pulls it off better than the 355, that's for sure. I still applaud the man.

 

Viola SE30 is a hall of fame color.

 

He chose the wrong Diablo purple imo.

Agree. I think a darker purple would be more Ferrari-like.

 

I like purple. Wouldn't have chosen that one and agree darker would be better but it's not my car.

 

Why does he waste 60% of the video before showing the car.

Also it is more watchable with the sound muted.

 

This is the cringiest thing I’ve ever seen for so many reasons

355 isn’t exactly aggressive enough looking to pull off that color.

 

He is a true car guy and Ferrari lover. The only issue to me is that he should have used the period correct Ferrari color, Purple Metallic Asprey.

But if he likes it, he likes it. He has enough money that he can always repaint it.

 

His original F355 got the same "verde" leather interior as mine.

 

I love that green leather. He later did that in his Enzo.

 

I'm semi-apologizing for bumping the thread when I'm the last previous reply but I do have relevant info to add.

I love it now. I think he nailed what he was going after. Here's my thinking:

Jay Kay is a big Ferrari guy and owns a lot of them. He keeps his Ferraris OEM as far as I can tell... I think all he does is change the colors if anything. On this one he wanted to do something different. He's Jay Kay afterall and, he's a connoisseur. Only real car guys know where that color is from and it's period correct and complements the lines. It has always been a pretty color and the F355 is a very pretty car. Not to mention that it fits his personality. He even painted the calipers to complement but kept the wheels stock... He knew exactly what he wanted.

One highlight of the 30th Anniversary event in Japan was seeing them in all the different colors. It was grin inducing taking in such a quantity of beauty. You just spend hours staring at each one and this is a color I can't keep my eyes off of.

Maybe I'm crazy. I know I'm Mr. Modifying-a-Ferrari-is-sacrilege yet, I think it's great. Look at all the eyeballs on the internet looking at a F355 and drooling. The passion is spreading. The pulse is quickening. Jay Kay is a true ambassador of Ferrari and now, the F355.
