430 F430 Start Button Failure

    Not sure what you mean by the "electronics behind it". It's just a switch. It plugs into the manettino module. From the manettino, the wiring goes to relay PSR7 via the clockspring.

    What is not clear is if the output from the manettino is inhibited by logic coming into the wheel on the CAN Bus. If the car is running, I imagine you don't want to enable the starter (or is the F430 not that smart?). Also, the F1 system inhibits start if can't control gear selection.

    On the steering wheel side of the clockspring, the wiring diagrams show the output from the manettino to the relay to be on a blue wire (dark blue, not light blue), although on some cars, it can be white. On the car side of the clock spring, the wire is blue/white.

    Are you getting a ground on pin 2 of PSR7 when you push the button? Pin 1 has key power.

    (EDIT: there may be two blue wires coming from the manettino.... That could be confusing)
