    Hi guy
Just want to know if anyone come across my issue. So drove the car 250miles parked up at a hotel over night the following morning started the car started to smoke switch off straight away. Checked the engine bay and oil leaking from the oil filter area. Not sure if it the filter or is there something else there that can fail. Had the car towed home. Before I get into it like to hear from you nice people

    Thanks
    Scott

Could be that the filter was not torqued correctly and just took awhile to work itself loose. The pressure sensor is also right near the filter.

Not much to go wrong down there except that there was a small foreign object sitting on the lip where the oil filter seal is supposed to mate with and it finally moved or changed the torque of the filter (making it loose). Remember, the filter is applied downwards in that cavity and by feel mostly.

Have you tried tightening it (by hand)?

Before you start digging into it, grab the filter by hand and see if you can tighten it any more. If the filter loosened up, the rubber seal may have moved or popped out. If that happened, you’ll have to replace the oil filter.

Was it very cold the morning that you started it? That could have raised the oil pressure causing a loose filter to blow its seal.

Of course check the filter as everyone mentioned above but gasket 33 has been known to leak on the 360.
Usually you can see it leak after you wipe off and run the engine ..
    looking with borescope
