Hello all, just want to introduce myself, since I have been reading some of your posts, but never posting myself. My name is Ilan, older than 50 yrs, professional and getting into my first Ferrari after finally becoming (somewhat) financially secure enough.

I have a wife and daughter, and I am the family chaffeur. Really, my only two choices are the FF and GTC4LUSSO. I'd sooner become the next president than be able to afford the Purosangue (which I really do not like anyway).

I love both the FF and the GTC4Lusso, with the edge going to the latter. My dream is a twin V8 T with blue exterior and special cuio interior. But this has been impossible for me.

Now, to be fair, I have not called any dealerships or reached out to any companies beacause i will officially be ready to make the move in 4 weeks, so I don't want to lead anyone one.

Yet I want to have so some solid leads in line so that when the time comes, I can pull the trigger.

    Other musts include:
    -- panoramic roof
-- the most comfortable seats possible (I am 6'3", 270 lbs) and need cushioning since this will be my daily driver and my only car, as I will be trading in my Aston DBX for it
    -- upgraded stereo
-- remaining warranty if possible or ability to buy more (I would like 2020 or 2019 models if possible)
-- ventilated seats - I live in Miami
    -- electric seats (?)
-- Lifter - so so so many bumps and holes on these roads
    -- Carplay
-- someone said I have to have 'shields' and a 'Capristo controller' but I don't know what those are
    -- front camera (?)

Anyway, I know this is a lot, and I do appreciate anyones help whos willing to help out a newbie on his baptism into the world and ways of Ferrari!

The Lusso T may be the best deal right now in all of sports cars. They've been steadily dropping a bit whereas the V12s have been appreciating slightly (I think the appreciating FF market has been pushing them up a bit). You don't need AWD in Miami, and the V8 has more torque for daily driving than the V12.

As far as the seats, I'd definitely spend some time the Lusso before pulling the trigger. The seats are notoriously firm. I daily one, and on drives longer than an hour, I find myself shifting around a bit. But for normal driving they're fine.

The pano roof isn't as cool of a feature as most think. It's behind the head of the front seat passengers essentially. It's kind of cool for the back seat passengers, but that's it.

If you can find the ventilated seats, go for it. I live in Southern Alabama, and I don't have them. A good ceramic tint makes a bigger difference.

CarPlay isn't that common of an option, but there are also aftermarket systems that will add it for you too. The dealer charges something like $6k to add it...
FF is much easier to add an aftermarket deck, however.

I'd have to have somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the lifter is just a temporary thing for getting in an out of driveways etc. I don't think you can just drive around at speed with it lifted... so probably won't make a difference for potholes etc. The Lusso isn't that low to begin with.

Might be able to get a steal on this one with the miles. Sock the extra $ away for repairs instead of a warranty.

I have a white/brown V12 Lusso (17) that I've been contemplating selling. It doesn't have most of your "musts" but if you want to message me about it, feel free.

I think a lusso t makes sense in Miami. Saves you the potential headache of the ptu also.

I agree 100% on the nose lifter. I have one on my ff and I use it all the time.

I honestly would skip the pano roof. I don’t miss not having one and I think in Miami it would get hot unless you tinted the heck out of it.

if you’re going to daily it, I would not be afraid of a higher mileage example if the paints in good shape and it has been properly serviced.

wow, all good points that i have not considered.

I had been given the impression that the pano roof was a "MUST", but honestly it will mostly be me in car driving to and from work, so if it doesnt do anything for me and just makes the car more hot, then I agree its best to skip it

I do think the lifter would make sense here - there are so many speed bumps and changes in height from road to driveway that i need to have it

Might have to do the carplay as an aftermarket then...oh well, thats fine!

As far as the seats go, I guess there is only one type? Because I have heard from most that they are firm but i wasn't sure if there was a 'softer' version

Kenneth CDO - I'm going to look up your links now. I think a white with a brown interior is super cool and original (brown meaning darker brown than cuio?). If so, I might seriously be interested

Thanks all for your thoughtful responses!
