HI all New here and been trolling and gathering info for a while. Ive got a 360 spider that has given me a lot of roof issues. I think a fresh set of eyes might help. at the moment ive got it to go to 50% open. then the pump stops and nothing happens. ive scanned and attached live data. someone has tried to fix a roof issue before, and its been played with. ive replaced elastics and the microswitch for the left flap. and topped up the oil. any recommendations? Can't make any sense of the data... EVVD (front locks) "not connected" ??? EVVA (L & R are in opposite states). That doesn't sound right. EWID (window down signal from Window ECU) "absent". The Window ECU talks to the Roof ECU to tell it that the windows are down. EVVZ (lock closed) "security" ... must transit from open to relocked... So perhaps that is ok. Re EVVD and EVVA (L/R).... Maybe inspect the microswitches on the front frame of the roof (if visible). The EWID signal is digital, so I don't know how you would check that. There are "window down" microswitches in the door you could check, but that's a rabbit hole you may want to go down later when we run out of ideas. If you know where the Window ECU is, maybe try resetting the top power plug. The data lines run through that plug.
EVVD (front locks) "not connected" ??? That changes when i press the both the micro switches down. so i assume thats fine EVVA (L & R are in opposite states). That doesn't sound right. - this is where im thinking the trouble is, EWID (window down signal from Window ECU) "absent". The Window ECU talks to the Roof ECU to tell it that the windows are down. the windows will go up if i close it EVVZ (lock closed) "security" ... must transit from open to relocked... So perhaps that is ok. thats correct i believe its just the way the autel reads it.. My issue is with thee EVVA im thinking. we i push the right side it changes, when i push the left nothing happens. I looked at wiring diagram, and believe its pin 1. i cut the wire near the rood module, and no change in state. the switch works. any ideas. thank you for the reply btw
for comparison- this is with the top closed and locked manually. any ideas would be welcome. its been driving me crazy
quick update, i was able to track down a short between pins 1 and 2 on the main plug going to ecu. fixed the problem thankyou
