So for a longer period of time, lets say 6-7 months, what is the best way to store your car if you have the chance to do it either way? If I google it I see a lot of arguments for both alternatives, but that is a lot of general advise, not necessarily valid for older Ferraris? Can somebody convince me to one way or another?

I just overinflate tire pressure to 40lbs. I will push the car every 4-6 wks 1-2 ft and never had an issue with flat spots, etc

Putting the car on a lift (not the drive-on type, of course) will keep tires from flat-spotting. The softer the tire compound and the longer the storage period, the more potential you'll have for flat spotted tires. That said, I've never had much of an issue with flat spots on my 550's Michelin PS4S after spending 4-5 months on the ground during winter storage. As others have said above, over-inflate the tires to 40-45 psi, check them every so often during storage and add air as needed. If you're really worried about it, lift up the car every month or two and rotate each wheel a bit. When you're ready to take the car out of storage, air down to specified pressures, go and drive the car. Any flat spots will work themselves out after 30 min or so of driving. Not an issue in my experience.

Added benefit of the lift is that it makes it harder for any rodents to find a winter home in your car.
