Ferrari Pista prices will continue to rise, a beautiful car from the design. 296 Speciale Apertas will only rise if Ferrari builds very few of them. Which is currently unclear

Assuming that Ferrari builds 1,500 Apertas and looking at the number of units by dealers, you can say that dealers get three times as many coupes as Apertas. That would mean there would be about 4,500 coupes, which would be more than the Pista, even though the Pista was much cheaper, didn't have a hybrid, and is by far the most beautiful Ferrari. The 296 Speciale Aperta has a good chance of increasing in value. Coupes are very difficult with the numbers. But 296 Speciale should sound much better and louder than 296 GTB from exhaust sound.

Those depreciated too at first. I firmly believe this will be the car to have. And I intend to drive it.

A car journalist told me he's driving the Speciale on Fiorano at the beginning of October. Doesn't know if they'll drive it on public roads, or when the review embargo will be lifted.

You keep saying the 296 Speciale will have similar production numbers to the Pista. So if your reasoning for them losing value is that they will build too many then the Pista's should be tanking because they built too many according to you. Forget what engine or hybrid or not.

Take a look at every VS mid-engine Ferrari currently. Name one of them that is not becoming increasingly more popular as time goes on.

Future values are relative and at this point all speculation, nobody has a crystal ball, including you. We can speculate all we want but for 98% of buyers that is not going to affect their decision making.

I am on this thread to see what other buyers are thinking and their specs and getting FACTUAL information. Enough of how many they are going to build and what it is going to do value wise, it's a broken record here, no new information on either just the same repetitive posts. In two years we can talk build numbers when they are finished.

So, just to clear things up for me:
    1) The Pista is the most beautiful Ferrari ever and has a V8 and no longer produced and that is why it is appreciating.
    2) The 296 Speciale is not the most beautiful Ferrari ever, has a V6 and, unless produced in very limited numbers, will never appreciate. So, everyone should pass unless, of course, one is able to receive the Alperta.

    OR
The above 1&2 are completely inaccurate.

Am I following this accurately? :)

Couldn’t agree more. It’s exhausting reading the exact same negative posts over and over (often from the exact same people). The VS is going to be an epic car. I can only imagine having a better car than the near perfect 296. Haters, please give it a break. Let celebrate what is going to be an awesome automobile in true Ferrari VS fashion. History will repeat itself with this version and all the haters will be jealously eating crow.

Speciale has chance to be just about perfect. I love my 296 and can only think of a few ways to improve it.

Yup. It just may be the one. If the AF car had bumpy road mode, I wouldn’t seen how one can improve.

The S with AF will now at least offer lifter.

Does the Speciale with lifter has bumpy road mode? Any caveats to ordering the lifter?

My understanding is that with the lifter, you lose the specific multimatic suspension - so either this one is worthless to define the character of the car, or you then miss some part of it.
I wonder how a 296 Speciale with lifter (without multimatic) would compare against a 296 GTB AF (with multimatic) on track - in the straight lines, of course the more powerful Speciale will be faster, but what about the corners ?

Went ahead and put down deposit, focus on spec. Looks on all these are very spec dependent
VS orders I think are now closed, maybe end of month.
Seems like 2 to 3 to spider to one coupe from a few dealers - 50 dealers in US, appears to be a smaller production than anticipated.

2-3 coupe per spider? 40 dealers in US I believe.
