I truly appreciate those words. Coming from someone with your background and experience, that means more than you know.

It was absolutely a challenging project, but also a passion project. I wanted to respect the original design while delivering something that owners could feel proud of installing.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts

I'm more familiar with the Porsche world than the Ferrari world, and even with far more shops and a bigger market, I am not aware of a Porsche seat upholsterer who can do early sport seats (for example) correctly. The go-to shops all do it wrong -- vinyl is the wrong shade of black and wrong sheen; perforation pattern in the seat cushions is wrong; they are webbed too stiffly; etc. I think people have the idea that making a repro is easier than making something from scratch, but the opposite is true. The repro is actually harder, because you have to copy everything exactly.

Owners have been trying to source proper leathers for our 355’s for 2 decades. That task alone is an achievement.

Hey everyone. Happy to report that today after a Ferrari factory tour I stopped by Zanasi after Reza was kind enough to arrange a visit for me. first and foremost, that is one of the most impressive operations I have seen. They are basically the silent partner that Ferrari uses for all of their atelier, Tailor-made, and other individualized cars. The amount of vehicles in their shop just today was staggering and I only saw one of their nine industrial parks dotted around the factory. Unfortunately, as it is essentially an extension of the Ferrari factory, and the cars are there are customer cars, photography is completely prohibited but in the area where they were working on our seats I was able to take a couple photos. Call them “ransom photos“ that I was there :p
I saw the seats that were posted recently awaiting for some hardware and I saw the Leather that was already cut to begin mine and several other customer orders. I was told that these would begin assembly in the next few days but, if I’m honest, this workshop seems very Italian so I wouldn’t be surprised if the slower than expected pace continues a bit.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by Zanasi and for sharing this, Simon :) Really appreciate the kind words and the pics, means a lot to everyone involved in this project.

Glad you got a peek behind the curtain and yes, the pace is very… Italian :D:eek:o_O

Looking forward to seeing your seats come together!

    Hi all,

Just wanted to share some photos of the latest finished set of 355 carbon seats, Nero Autolux leather with Bordeaux Alcantara.
Every detail has been checked against factory spec, including stitching lines, piping, and mounting points.

These seats are part of our small-scale production for Ferrari 355 owners who want a period-correct alternative to sourcing OEM sets (which are almost impossible to find).

This cost €18,500 per pair, excluding shipping and VAT where applicable.

I’m now opening interest for Batch 2 production, we already have tooling and leather stock, so lead time should be manageable depending on spec.

If you’re interested or want more info, feel free to PM me or email.

    Photos of latest build below.

    Best,
    Reza

I have now waited 180 days ( 6 months)…and still same story. When I was sold these seats I was told by REZA that it would take 30-40 days……
I have read in this post positive comments of the person…but my experience with this transaction has been completely different. Misleaded when I placed order, many, many excuses given by the seller and still no exact date as when they will be shipped. This is not “normal”. And….still, have not seen ONE example delivered…..

    Hi everyone,
I want to share an honest and transparent update with you all regarding the carbon seat project. After a long and at times frustrating wait, all 6x sets of Ferrari 355 reproduction seats are now fully completed carbon shells, foam, leather, and final trimming. I’m genuinely pleased with the results. These seats are an exacting replica of OEM carbon seats.

As for the 550 seats (copy set + OEM retrims), I will have a separate update tomorrow. They’ve proven more complex mounting rails, foam mold differences, and a slower internal pipeline — but I’m pushing hard to ensure these are prioritized next.

Lastly, I want to sincerely acknowledge the delays many of you have experienced — and thank you for your patience and trust. This project has grown beyond what I initially expected, but I remain committed to delivering a truly OEM-grade product that respects the cars we all love.

Happy to share photos with anyone curious — just DM me.

For those that have ordered, or run OEM carbon seats now, what seat belts do you utilize if you changed from stock?
