In order of priority how are folks prioritizing the below items for their build? Feel free to add anything else that you think is in your top 3 or top 5. 1. Extra range color 2. Exterior Carbon (feel free to add what you don't plan to select - for e.g., CF engine bay cover, carbon inserts in engine bay) 3. Carbon Wheels 4. Painted Shield 4. Stripe
The Speciale is not a numbered car. I believe Ferrari will try to make as many as they can while maintaining exclusivity. Sometimes they nail it. Other times they make too many or not enough. I find the early speculation funny- as it likely does not indicate anything yet- as Ferrari has typically reopened the order books. I think the Speciale is likely to be monumental. I don’t think it will be recognized as such for years because the 6 cylinder hybrid is not yet accepted. Many prior VS models were available for below MSRP for years. Considering the price and the lack market acceptance of the power train- I don’t see why this model would be better. If more people bought these cars because they actually wanted to keep them- the market would be stronger. And it is what it is. My 2c- buy this car for the right reasons and you will be happy regardless how this unfolds.
Early speculation is a few less than Pistas. We will see, and as I said previously, I think this will be the one in modern times. Can't wait for the reviews.
1. I prioritize the color, so it will be an important choice. 2. All the carbon for me, only thing I won't choose is filter boxes, because the aperta covers it. 3. Undecided on the wheels. I'm just not that impressed by the CF wheels. If I could opt for the 849 CF wheels, then yes. 4. Hate to pass up included shields, but will likely paint. Need to see how it looks on my spec. 5. I'm finding the stripe less important, and am considering doing a different flavor of livery. Will see when I eventually get to TM. Otherwise, I'm liking simple, one color matching with dream lines.
When you think about it the car will be extremely limited. lets say 180 dealerships in the world 12 coupes per dealer 4 apertas Thats 2160 coupes and 720 apertas If they dont reopen orders. it is an extremely limited car.
Put down my deposit and spec'd my car. Steering wheel looked like this in the configurator... (my apologies if this was already discussed and for the grainy screenshot). Super excited they made the update. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Whoops. 43 stores adding 3 few years back. Production 2 - 3 coupes for every 1 spider. 799 XX coupes 599 XX spiders - ow production run Challenge street versions only come around so often - V6 or production it's a cool Ferrari. Rear engines do well in track versions - F80 296VS new era for Ferrari.
1. All the exterior carbon 2. Colour 3. Stripe 4. Painted Shields I drive my cars, hence not getting carbon wheels, as they are very expensive to replace if damaged Interior options will be the hardest for me to decide, seats, materials etc
I think 3k coupes and 1k apertas will be the number. And that’s not very limited in my view. But too limited for me to get one, unfortunately!
That's too bad - long wait so who knows what options may come your way VS Spider 3 in the garage - requirement. Ferrari is taking allocations serious. Ferrari has two problems - SF90 296 depreciation. XX helped cure SF90 in part, VS if low production cures 296 in part. Fast forward 849 / 296M will have or will not have track version replay of F8. If not and the 296VS is the only track version - this helps VS. Did F8 hurt Pista - scenario. Ferrari does not want to mess up VS, too much at stake on special editions.
How many cars does your dealer get per year, or how many 296's did they get allocated. Those ratios will tell the production of VS.
1. Paint, One that is very unique. 2. Exterior/Interior combo to flow and tie everything together. Livery/Dreamline to make all the colors cohesive. 3. Carbon exterior options and interior, possibly colored carbon. Most likely will do carbon engine cover and wings. 5. Unsure what wheels to do. Feel the same as Lagunae92. May end up with white wheels or if carbon, doing colored may help spice them up but is $$$$$ 6. Will do painted shield. Best weight seats.
What colors are you going with - Cervino or Giallo blue carbon blue wheels either carbon or painted 2.5 - 1 seem to be the norm.
would love if that's true. Does anyone have confirmation? And where is the E drive button? side note, I would prefer if they also updated the screen to the newer style menus (12Cilindri, Purosangue, Amalfi, 849)
Not sure yet: trying to see if I can get an Atelier appointment again or maybe even TM to get the cool leathers and fabrics. The few specs I've messed with are grigio alloy over rosso Dino orange Daytonas, or sanu silver over mandarino orange. I do like my light blue/aqua/turquoise colors though. Probably no stripes or numbers. Color-matched roof. After an hour with the dealer configurator, I prefer the non-CF rear decklid. I'll get the blah base wheels so I can just go aftermarket with something racy looking (likely Anrky or HRE). I drive my cars and get occasional wheel scrapes to repair so I'm not getting CF wheels.
