Hello, There is a No-reserve auction on BaT for a 512BBi: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1983-ferrari-512-bbi-5-2/ It will be interesting to see where it ends!
sold for 230 k https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1983-ferrari-512-bbi-5-2/?utm_source=dm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2025-09-12
In 2015 one broke the then record and went to 215K. Boxers were stuck from the early 90s until then in the 100-125k range, they are stuck in the 215-250 range until the next runup. One day like ghiblis they will emerge from the shadows and rise to a new area. Lets enjoy drivign them as designed untill then, because a 700k boxer wont be driven like a 200k one.
Unless I was really hurting / desperate, I really don't think I'd ever sell without a reserve. Still, the seller sold it for what he bought it for. He spent ~$25k in service over the two years he had it, but he also put 8k miles on it – so at least it was driven. I guess ~$1k/month to have a classic Ferrari is a pretty good deal.
today at BaT a 512 BBi. 84, has been sold for 270k https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1984-ferrari-512-bbi-32/?utm_source=dm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2025-09-29 and a 365 GT4 BB, 75, for 341.341 US $ https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1975-ferrari-365-gt4-bb-4/?utm_source=dm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2025-09-29
I woudl say thats a strong price for the BBI given the redo, but then redos cost $. And a weak price for the 365 given its condition and that its a 365.
Just my HO. They're all 'good deals" since the cars are steadily being turned into 95+ point cars. Few examples out there, some gorgeous resto's shared on F-chat, some not. When you find one that's not a museum piece, and you can start enjoying right away, that's a great start.
