Gotta disagree with you on that one. Pista is the prettiest modern Ferrari in 30 years (excepting the unobtainable super cars).

13k is high mileage for a Heritage GT, that will really limit its appreciation.

Might be true, but will have no effect on the delta future value as the FGT is one of the most iconic designs of all-time.

Compared to a "in the wrapper" car yes, but not compared to a Pista.

I honestly believe the Pista is also. In the end I think I will keep her.....

Doug is a just another You Tube talking head with money, so any predictions he makes are I'm certain at least a little bit self-serving. Aside from what he has to say, the 05-06 GT is and will forever be a timeless design and powertrain.

Funny you say this...I mentioned here on Fchat how the original Ford GT40 is a timeless design and still looks modern to this day and hence the 2005 version does so well. I also thought and still do think the Pista is very much Ford GT40 in its looks. Not just that hood with the huge duct, but all of the curves. Side by side photos the Pista and original GT40 look so similar in shape/curves.

Like him or not, he is a self made man who took risks. I respect that...I spoke with him a couple of times shortly after I bought my Diablo 11 years ago about coming out to Texas to review it and he admitted he just didn't have travel money.

And since he owns one, and has for 6 years he put his money where his mouth is......as much as I like Harry Metcalfe and how much he waxes poetic about the FGT, he has never spent a dime on one

Do you live in the Heights? There is a black one that rolls by my house most weekends. Lives off the bike path.

the point about the Pista and FGT, theyre both beautiful harmonious designs, theyre also botht he type of cars neither manufacturer makes anymore. However the pista basic layout spec can still be bought from in the aesthetically challenged mclaren. Whereas what the FGT offers is the zenith of the analogue supercar, great looks, evocative powertrain, manual, fantastic chassis. Its got it all going on.

In time we will also see that the lambo hurricane becomes "collectable" too. Great looks fantastic motor raw etc, once again the type of car you cant buy from the manufacturer or any manufacturer anymore.

ill also add that if ferrai had deigned to build the new 849 with a na v12 and heaven forbid maybe even a stick, with maybe some subtle softening of the schnoz, it would be the future collectable for sure, and hold its value, instead of becoming another inevitably depreciating tech car.

Eventually someone will come up with some really great evocative cars again. Who knows maybe it will be ford.
