So I finally got around to making some improved videos of Fabio Fiammenghi's exhaust system on my 599 as people always ask what it sounds like. I used the DJI Mic 2 wireless system with one mic taped on the rear bumper above the left side exhaust outlet and the other mounted in the passenger compartment. This blended audio track was then piped to my iPhone which was recording the RPM gauge. I also had an old GoPro Hero4 mounted in the passenger compartment and also incorporated its audio track in the final video. The periodic clapping you see is to allow me to better sync the audio/video streams. The audio is still clipping and I probably need to wrap the external mic in a towel to improve.

I am also running the latest ECU+TCU updates (as of Sept 2025) from @360trev which should reveal why I have not yet bothered to gate my 599.

COLD START (notice placement of mic on rear of car):

To clarify, this the exhaust setup I am running: Fabio 6-1 Header/Manifolds + Race CATS + Silenced Mid-Pipes + STOCK GTB Mufflers

thanks for sharing all that. Very helpful. Did you do a dyno test yet from stock to now? Sounds great.

Sounds great! Mine is just straight pipes cat delete with Tubi exhaust. I opted for the HGTE wheels instead of the GTOs, I did go with a GTO grill which I like over the HGTE. Next year I will do the ECU with @360trev.

I have not... Trying to find a place that will properly strap down the 599 without damaging the car has not been easy. I think we would need to remove some of the underbody panels to do it.

@Mark Carbone I do have a Dragy that might be able to record some highway pulls but I am probably getting too old for that kind of stuff ;-)
