The battery is not likely going dead anytime soon. There is a mandated 7 year battery warranty in the USA. Hybrid cars have been out for 20 years and many have 100- 200,000 miles. There aren’t many horror stories and Ferrari’s battery is more advanced (heat protection) and not used in the same way as a regular hybrid that is constantly in use. Also, batteries can be replaced in modules and don’t typically require entire replacement. The batteries are also small as compared to all electric cars- and are therefore cheaper. The 296 will likely cost less to maintain than their prior models as the quality of the product has greatly improved. Yes, there are glitches with the software- which will continually be updated and improved. Progress isn’t perfect. That wouldn’t be progress- that would be a miracle. Porsche listened to their financials in their decision to slow the electric transition and bring back ICE’s. These cars may actually be hybrids as they appear to be transitioning their of ICE’s in this manner. In other words, it’s about electric sales, not hybrid ones- at least so far.
I'm glad you love your 296 , more power to you and I'm equally glad that you have confidence with the Ferrari Hybrid. Time will show that every non hybrid car will be worth more than any hybrid car. BTW I believe I am correct in saying there are more 296 variants for sale compared to any other Ferrari in North America 220 - 250
Like you, I'm very partial to the blue family and have always wanted a Grigio Alloy build. Spent time at the dealership configurator and came up with this build and added a ghosted numbered Livery. As typical with Ferrari tech, configurator was glitchy and removed interior Rosso after we added the number. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
To each their own - street versions are beautiful vs track versions aggressive Why do people have to put something down to make a point - Ferrari is a very rare car and people love seeing one - any Ferrari.
This car looks so cool and has the performance to match. Happy for everyone who has an allocation. Hoping everyone who wants one gets one someday.
My Grigio Alloy Roma - Cuio interior blue canvas top. Beautiful color has a good amount of blue / silver reflections. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Comparing a 296 to a prius is pretty funny. I can see the fear if this was 2011. But it's 2025. Geez.
My coupe is about to go in to production and delivery is expected before the end of the year. Very excited!
Saving? Just rent out one of your guest rooms a couple times as an air bnb. You’ll be able to fit a few guests by the looks of it haha
Ugh it's wild to me that the configurators public and dealer are both so different, and neither seems to work properly. Or have all the colors, or options. The upside of red is that you can easily match the caliper: For this, I had to Photoshop the caliper orange since it was not a public option and I tweaked the GA color to make it bluer like real life: Iain just posted this in the GTS thread, grigio alloy over what looks like Mandarino, so amazing: Image Unavailable, Please Login I think if I did something that silvery though, I would use Stealth/satin PPF on it to make it look even more like raw metal. I've loved silver-blue colors since I saw a Triumph TR7 as a kid and thought that it was soooooo cool: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
