Car that you ordered? The model takes a while if so. If you're buying then yes request it with the car.

 

Yes car that I ordered (in June 2022). I closed on it last week and having ppf/ceramic, etc done and pick up at the dealers later this week. was hoping to pick up the model then too but SA hadn't mentioned it

 

it can arrive at the dealer any time before your actual car , or months later . There is no rhyme or reason to it .

Yeah, it's definitely something to avoid stepping on. Ironically, the kids seem to be better about it than my wife

Still worth it, though! Really elevates the look of the cabin IMO. We'll see if I still feel that way in a year - haha!

 

I just purchased one with a white interior including the leather on the floor. Uh Oh. It does look great… now.

I think those leather panels pop out for detailing purposes.

ok full post to come when i get the pictures back because they had a guy there taking nice pictures. for now, they had an F50 right by my 296 which was cooler than cool. my brother in law was supposed to take a picture of both the cars but he only took a picture of the F50 because he was drooling all over it (as was i). I should have official pics and a nice write up after i get the pics back and some miles on it

Nice is that Azzurro La Plata metallic version or solid?

 

Good eye - it's Azzurro La Plata Metallic! As far as I know, it's the only 296 GTS in that color. I've also seen two GTBs, one 812 Comp and one SP3. Even if there are more cars out there, it still feels real special!

To me, it felt like the curves of the 296 really deserved a metallic paint and, luckily, Ferrari agreed to it (this was a bit of a hold-my-breath process). Couldn't be happier with how it turned out, especially in the sunshine. EVERYONE who sees it comments on the paint, which makes me smile. And, most importantly, I can't help but look back at it when walking away from the thing....
