Will Car Start with Faulty F1 Pump?

    I’m fairly certain my F1 pump is dead but does a dead pump not allow the car to turn over? All electronics are functioning normally and I have a full charge. I also have the upgraded 50 amp relay

    Full story: I was on way home in traffic, transmission light starts going off and I have trouble shifting. I got the car to engage in gear after shutting off and starting a few times but eventually car will not start and the transmission light will flash intermittently. Got car towed home and the pump doesn’t even prime now when I open the door or have key in ignition.

    i have a new pump on the way but I can’t get the car to turn over, even if I reset the battery. I was not 100% sure if this is normal with faulty pump but could not find any threads on the topic after searching

    The car won't start if the clutch is not disengaged which happens with pressure
    I am not positive your pump is the issue based on what you said above but yes if there isn't pressure the car will not start

    Thanks! What would your suggestion be? I have checked relay and fuse, both are good.

    The dash is reading to be in neutral but light is flashing intermittently, will stop for a couple seconds and continue to flash.

    I will also note it felt like it was taking 7-8 seconds to prime but I never actually timed it, so I feel it was imminent

    Getting the code read is always helpful. Like flash said though, if the system isn't pressurized, the car won't start. When doing manual conversions there is a wire that needs to be bypassed to bypass that check IIRC. Not sure if bypassing it works without the ECUs reflashed or not, however it's probably not a good idea, as if the car is in gear it will move.

    this makes sense as the pump is definitely not priming and my fluid level looks normal. I guess when I shifted it a few times when restarting, I used the residual pressure. I would imagine relax and fuse could be culprit but I’ve ruled those out
