    Hi Guys-

Anyone have this option on the car? Any thoughts or comments? Noticed that it is now available as an add-on option and wondering how people like it. The actual view thru the mirror is a little narrow and this seems like it could be pretty useful.

Had a rental car with it and did not like it. One cannot look in the mirror to the back seat.

I’ve mentioned before, the problem is the focal distance. When you look in a mirror, the focal point is far behind you. When you look at a screen, the focal point is a couple of feet. This is an issue if you wear progressive or bifocal glasses. The screen placement should be on the dash IMO.

Otherwise they are great because of the wide coverage! On my truck, I can have a rear view camera activated on the infotainment screen while retaining my mirror. Best of both worlds. That’s what they should offer…

I have one on my C8 Corvette. I never use it for this reason. Also I hate that daylight running lights flicker when seen on the screen. So annoying.

The only real use for this is in very specific situation for short periods of time when you need a wide angle view. Otherwise, give me a mirror every day.

IMO, the rear camera mirror is not ready for prime time. Its not a Ferrari issue. Its a tech issue.

While not the Puro, I opted against it for my 12C order. I just don't like it.

The Purosangue has a huge advantage. That you can also set the digital mirror as a normal mirror. So you have both options depending on which is better. A super feature from Ferrari.

Love it on our Mercedes EQV bus, but don’t need that in the Ferraris.

I have a 2025 Purosangue with the digital rearview mirror. Honestly, I didn’t even realize I had specified it (or that it might be standard) until I started messing with the buttons six weeks in, when I finally got around to programming my garage door with HomeLink. That’s when I discovered the mirror was in digital mode—it had just been sitting in regular mirror mode the whole time.

The setup looks almost identical to the mirror in my G63 4×4². I’d agree there’s a bit of a delay while my eyes adjust to the digital display. It takes some getting used to, but in the Squared it’s basically a necessity—the rear tire completely blocks the back window. In the Purosangue, I use the regular mirror 90% of the time, but there are situations where the digital option is handy.

What I’m trying to figure out is the HomeLink side of things. The Purosangue specs list HomeLink as standard equipment, but it doesn’t seem like the digital mirror has HomeLink built in. I’m waiting on clarification from the dealer: is there a version of the digital mirror with HomeLink, or does choosing the digital mirror effectively delete the HomeLink feature?
