Any funny business - you are banned on BaT - prove what you posted.
Been here for a long long time - the Mayor got his nick name from me when we went to Vegas on an F chat trip - I said this guy is the Mayor of Vegas. It stuck and he was a great host, sadly so many of the people on the trip are no longer around.

Recently bought a Dino and it was 100% restored - spent 20k and months in the shop sorting the car. There is nothing easy about a Dino, I remember when the Mayor owned one and posted all of its issues - believe he then bought a 430 Spider and made a farewell Vegas F chat video burning rubber,

Anyway - life is short I think stating sellers / buyers are not truthful / trustworthy is wrong and it's a bad look.

    Serious? Not my esprience
    ,
sdlbuyer and youngmotorcars are two BAT UserIDs that belong to the same person, Michael Young, a local second tier retailer

I had a rather bad experience and both are still active and have never been banned from BAT despite stiffing the sale when he won a car at a price I feel was 15% under market value. I politely replied after No Reserve auction end with Congratulations, all banking info, State Bill of Sale completed, and all my details.

First he demanded PPI after auction.
Second he changes Buyer Name to be his mother, A Dr 's business?
Third he adds more delays and insists on approval drive by him and another shop again.
2 weeks after I sent him auction win info
    still no money.

BAT was included in all written communication and did nothing except contact 2nd bidder
3 weeks Late this 2nd chance offer to second bidder was deny
    Nightmare effort for nothng

Am I now that old that people use me as a measuring stick for how long they have been on Fchat? :)

Getting back to the subject: I've always been skeptical of auction and auction houses. When I was in my late teens in Phoenix I would go every year to Barret Jackson.

They bring out this Daytona with like 5000 miles on it. It brings a "world record price". I see the seller and the buyer in the audience. Next year, the same car comes out with 5000 miles on it. Another magical world record price! Who bought it? The guy who sold it last year. So can you guess what I saw in the 3rd year? Yes, another world record price by the same two guys. All they did is sell the car back and forth between themselves inflating the price -- then passed it off to a sucker.

Since that experience I've had real reservations about how auctions work. And I cannot see how people can buy a car without an inspection. Would you buy a house from looking at it on Zillow?

Was hoping a few of the knowledgable people in this forum might chime in with their thoughts on the current value of 03024. Ive uploaded a bunch of pictures in the thread. Any and all input appreciated! Cheers - Jeff

Hello Jeff! I think you ought to have a PPI performed on the Dino, then a proper independent valuation,
    from a very reputable source.
Then you will have a better impression than from us in the peanut gallery :)

    Kind regards,
    Alberto

RNM, probably, even though a great survivor.

Bidding stalled out at $376K. When I first posted this I thought it had many more days of bidding. I was surprised it had ended! Waaay below what I think this example is worth. There were some comments about not liking the color. Really!!?? I really like the exterior color!

While the car is a solid, with long-term ownership and in original shape, it has many things that beg to be addressed. The problem is, if you do one thing, you'll probably wind up doing a restoration. Of you overhaul the engine, the engine won't look right in the engine bay. It will cascade to include the interior and exterior. I I thought the bidding was fair for the condition. I'm certainly not an expert, and there's too much emotion involved in cars like these to be able to predict what someone will bid.

Ken, the engine can be addressed, just the guts, and save the patina as much as humanly possible.
I think it can be done. Problem, with RNM, it will not sell, as possibly the owner has very high expectations, and rightfully so.
    Quite the quandary ! :)

+1 Agree. The color is also polarizing, not one of my favorites.
