The white rear badges are factory correct. I was surprised also.

Did the 88 1/2 DD Countach cars come with an aluminum front trunk? My ‘86 DD has the very light composite trunk (kevlar)?

I see this 88 1/2 for sale that has the aluminum trunk. The 25th as well have the older aluminum front trunk lids if I recall.

Hello Sir Sackey. Lamborghini delivery a certificate of vehicle original configurations for the GLA12997 and says that this Countach is painted in Bordeaux and not Bordeaux Speciale. Is that an error ? Thank you for your time.

The COC clearly mentions Bordeaux Speciale.

Moise, the correct full color is Bordeaux Speciale, don't worry that the Certificate only says Bordeaux, Lamborghini are notorious for their records errors & omissions, other factory PS records describe the car as red!

We verified the color's name from Lamborghini SpA's original build sheet, the COC, private ex-factory employee records etc.

Have you ever noticed that, when referencing the number of Quattrovalvole's produced, sources typically quote the full production number, including F1 cars (I often hear 610 total). Interesting bit of information that our dear friend Marcel from the Countach Registry shared with me not long ago - of that number, 367 are carbureted (give or take a few). It's worth keeping this number in mind to further establish that uniqueness of the two QV variants.
