I’m in utter shock. Just can’t believe it.
Very sad. He was always pleasant to talk to on here and had some very cool experiences w ferraris and other Italian cars. May his memory be a blessing
Such sad news. I so enjoyed conversations here with Marc. My condolences to his family and loved ones.
Tremendously sad to hear and I’m sorry for his family’s loss. Marc had a lot of great knowledge and stories, particularly shared in vintage. I’ll miss his posts and discussions.
Uh, what a gut punch!!! I'm in shock. I first met Marc when I was working at Shelton Ferrari many years ago. Despite me being a young, poor nobody Marc wholeheartedly welcomed me into the local car scene with open arms and shared his infinite knowledge with me with a smile. He was one of the nicest, most gracious people I've ever met. Truly never had a negative word to say about anyone. Rest in peace my friend. If heaven has a track and great roads Marc is surely driving them with his idols as we speak.
Never met Marc, yet had the pleasure of reading his many great contributions to this section. Never a bad reaction. Truly a class act. One of the few. Will miss. Happy turns at 10/10ths!
Left way too early. Very nice to talk to, and had a great feel for the "Golden Era" of sportscars. He will be missed.
I'm saddened to hear about Marc's passing. We traded some good information on our Maserati's that we both worshipped. He was always kind, generous with information he had, and a very funny person. He will be missed.
Very sad news. He was my hero in the 90ies when he wrote all these great articles for Cavallino. RIP Marc.
Al Roberts reminded me that in addition to selling Ferraris for Ed Waterman Marc did publicity and PR work for Steve and Tom Shelton when they owned the AD in Fort Lauderdale. Marc did an article (Al doesn’t recall where it appeared…perhaps Cavallino) about the BB that Al built for Preston Henn to run at Le Mans. The car was disqualified for violating the ban on morning warmups….the car was garaged in town and driven to the track which the officials deemed to be a warmup. Hey…the ACO (Or maybe Preston just managed to piss them off!)
Nothing is eternal, neither anything or anyone. This news reminds us each time how short life can be. I was fortunate to know him on this forum, to chat a bit with Marc. I will keep good memories of it.
