At times, even exceptional cars get all the bids in the first 3-4 days, then the remainder 7-8, it becomes a tedious waiting period
with the oddball bid (wonder about those) i.e. : https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990-porsche-911-carrera-4-leichtbau/

This puppy got all the money early on, and last bid, 6 days ago. It will end RNM tomorrow.

Just like giving birth, you walk into the Hospital, and 10-15-24 hours go by, them back home you go, only to return the following day

I sort of understand (well, not really) why some people enjoy living vicariously through auctions, forum/online/etc gossip, "House Wives (or Husbands ?) of ... " or "(something with ?) Cardashians", etc, but I do like the comparison analogy to "giving birth".

I mean, unless you're the father, mother or midwife (i.e. auctioneer ?), other than potentially overpopulating the planet, what on earth does the some subject's delivery timeline or the outcome matter to rest of the world ?

OTOH, like I've said before, there are countless other things people do in this life & world I don't understand either, but I try to see humor in their actions first, so ...

It reached $310K https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-ferrari-dino-246-gt-24/ but didn’t meet reserve. I honestly don’t know what the real price should be. I’d love to hear other opinions on value. US Spec Dinos generally don’t do as well in Europe as European Spec Dinos. I personally prefer the simplicity and purity of European Spec Dinos. Coupes in particular. I see this as a good honest untouched Dino to use as-is with some “drive as you go” improvements or do a much more comprehensive restoration. I’d rather find a Dino like this vs one that has had too many hands in it already. You could create your dream Dino out of this foundation.

The color combo was to die-for in that car...but it wasn't clear how much ...patina... it had, mechanically-speaking and otherwise.

Also it's not a great time to import it back to the USA since it wasn't clear what the fees would be and such. Would have loved to consider it but would end up too rich for my blood and at the price it reached I guess it did not meet seller's expectations?
