Cali 30s are officially 2013 and 2014 MY in the US. But, mine was produced in November of 2012.

OK so another question. Does the Handling Speciale come standard on all Cali30's?

One thing Im noticing as i shop is most of these cars seem to be very lightly optioned.

The Cali 30HS I bought had $75K in options, so there are some highly optioned ones out there.

you would think dealers would have pushed more options, but the California from the dealer was often a required stepping stone and the dealers actually pushed for less options and to go more bland "resale".

Yes my 2013 30HS had a similiar amount of options .As i recall the 2013 and 2014 were more likely to be well optioned so even more reason to buy a 13 or 14…

Having has a 1st Gen Cali I know the infotainment center is garbage. Did they improve it for the Cali 30 or is that one also garbage. I thought it was the same but then I heard it isnt...

The infotainment system on the 14s still sucked. Needs to be upgraded to something with Apple CarPlay. There are options out there luckily.

Drove a Cali T for the first time today.

    - The infotainment center is still garbage and needs to be replaced
    - The sound isnt as good as the 1st Gen Cali, but still good enough for me
    - I liked the design in person more than in pics.

Also drove Portofino. Big improvement over California. But is it a $70k improvement? Not sure.

Have you tried a Cali T with the HS package? The tone is a bit deeper and they are some burbles and pops depending on how you play with the gears. It sounds quite good , which includes some other improvements as well.

What do people mean when they say the infotainment center sucks?

Mine plays AM, FM, XM, and CD (though having a single player in the glovebox is a bit amateur hour), shows the rear camera when I reverse, and has a USB thing that I suppose plays MP3s or something. It gets loud enough to hear even at high speeds. Are y'all expecting 4K and Fubo streaming?

I am also perfectly happy with the T infotainment system. I also have the CarPlay option. The screen is a lot bigger than the one on the 488 obviously, which is a very small screen. But both are a lot of car to make up for the infotainment system to be the main focus

So for a Ferrari, definitely decent. Portofino is nicer but the T does just fine

I dont listen to AM,FM, or XM and I havent owned a CD in over 15 years. Everything is Carplay for me now.

The stock unit is also super slow to respond and the Nav software is terrible. Size of the screen doesnt bother me.

As a daily driver, the above is important to me.

I did own a 1st Gen for several years so speaking from personal experience.
