488 Dedication Plate- “Direzione Tecnica”

What would be interesting is to find out whom the VIP was, could theoretically add some value to the car. I once owned an F430 that was owned by a famous Ferrari collector and it did add some value to the car.

 

I think one could compare the points of the two "i" of Direzione to the point of the "i" of Tecnica.

An owner could / can spec a dedication plate and put whatever they want** on it, this owner chose " Direzione Tecnica ”
that does not automatically mean there was anything actually special about it. The next owner could order a replacement place
with " VIP Owner " and it would have meaning to them ... ;-)

I bought my 488 from the original owner, and it has the dedication plate.
I was shocked to see what was written on it.........
Absolutely nothing!! LOL
the guy apparently paid for the plate and didn't write anything on it. The cool part is that the plate does say "488 GTB" on it, so it looks good, and I didn't get stuck with something another owner decided to write on it.

 

Just joking the 2 dots for the letters at fist looked like pin holes and some slight dents in the area...just how the photo was taken. ;-)
