The vehicle is relatively often in a reduced mode after starting. Then I can only drive in WET mode and many errors appear in the display. Sometimes it is enough for me to switch off the engine and leave the vehicle. Then I open the vehicle again with the radio key and after starting the engine all error messages are gone. I cannot systematically trace the error. But it mainly happens when I have opened the bonnet after switching off the engine, or if I have used the lift beforehand. But this may just be a coincidence and not the cause.

    Is the problem known?

I am almost certain that it’s the battery. Get it replaced. The slightest drop in voltage will cause all sorts of gremlins.

Once you turn on the car with the key, do ensure to wait till most lights are off before starting the engine.

it’s the battery typically causing electric issues

Ironically, this happened to me a month ago.....had the OEM garbage battery changed to the Interstate MTX-94R/H7....gremlins gone

I had similar electrical issues despite fact that 812 GTS had been on on factory battery tender for several months. IT REMAINS under its new car 3 year warranty. Dealer confirmed that battery would not hold charge and replaced the $1600- OEM battery at no charge to me. I was told by my excellent service advisor that battery would not have been replaced under supplemental extended warranty. If I later switch to interstate battery while under extended warranty, would this battery void other warranty coverage??

The dealer also sells and installs the Interstate battery, so you're good. This will not void any warranty whatsoever. And, btw, with the extended warranty, my battery has been replaced a few times.

If you'd like to look into a Lithium Battery for your 812 Antigravity Batteries would be willing to offer you a discount. Our Antigravity Lithium Battery will keep the voltage much steadier, and a few points higher also, does not suffer the voltage sag as AGM does during loads. Aside from the weightloss which is about 40 lbs, our battery also has Wireless Built-In Jump Starting in the event you ever did accidentally over-discharge the battery, you simply press our provided Wireless Keyfob start the car and drive away. Lastly you should see a significantly longer battery life. For example our battery has a built in Battery Management System that will not allow it to over-discharge and has protections for many aspect such as over-current , over-voltage among other protections, but also Lithium Cells are rated for literally 3x the cycles ( a full discharge and recharge of a battery) of Lead Acid Battery/AGM.... typically rated for about 1000 cycles, lithium rated for 3000 cycles. Let me know if your interested.

Perhaps a dumb question, but would you still use the Ferrari battery tender on this battery? Thanks.

Good question actually, the Ferrari Charger is made by CTEK just rebranded, but it meant for AGM/Lead/Acid Batteries. And you would need to get a Lithium Charger. But probably not for the reason you might think. For example Lead/Acid/AGM Chargers have a very similar charging profile to Lithium Chargers, but Lead/Acid Chargers typically has this special Desulfate Mode, often called Battery Recovery, Battery Conditioning, and other names like that. This particular part of their charging profile actually spikes voltages to above normal operating voltages to remove sulfates that develop only on Lead/Aci/AGM battery plates, but Lithium does not ever "sulfate" because it is a different chemistry, so this spiking voltage put out by Lead/Acid Chargers are not needed, or desired when charging Lithium Batteries. Also note Lithium re-charges much faster than Lead/Acid Batteries. So you would need to get a Lithium Charger, but as it turns out Antigravity Batteries just introduced our new Charger that Charges both Lead/AGM as well as litthium, has a digital screen, voltage tester, power supply and still costs the same as a single lead/AGM Charger. You will see a 20% discount in a thread we are putting up today on F-Chat.

Another question often ask about Lithium Charging is this.....
"Why do you say not to use a Lead/Acid Charger on a Lithium Battery, but you can put a Lithium Battery in a Car in place of a Lead/Acid Battery?"
The answer to this is because, a Car's Charging system does NOT operate like stand alone chargers do, it has a normal charging system without the "desulfate" charging mode. So Lithium and Lead/Acid/AGM are fine if charged by a Cars Charging system, whereas stand alone Lead/Acid Chargers incorporate that special desulphate mode as a feature.

Also note, that we have introduced our new Chargers, but we also offer the correct adapters for Ferraris, we make such as MagCode, 4-Pin and others that are needed for Ferraris and most other Cars.
