    I had that happen once. I think I just turned off the car - completely so the iphone truly disconnected its wifi connection. Then upon starting again, all worked as usual. I’m not sure if I accidentally did something or not to create the problem.

    Just restart car and phone. This also happened to me once and then just reappeared before I could figure out anything specifically. A new iPhone or software update might also cause this temporarily.

    Ok thanks this worked. However car play took up the entire screen. then i exited out of it and it completely disappeared.

    That’s what it does. The menu on the right side is required to navigate. Voice activation is easier. Once you get acclimated it gets easier.

    I fiddled around with that quite a bit. I can’t describe now, but there is a way for whatever app is active in CarPlay to put it in one of the left windows or the larger right window. Have been away from the car for a week or so, and can’t remember the exact sequence…
