1987, white/red, 19,000 miles or so I think... Two owner... due for major soon.

I just don't use it much. Get the 930 back together and that car needs some use... Always dreamed the car would go to the kids one day, but they have zero interest in it...

Will likely take the car to Lake Forest Sports Cars and see what they might offer/consign it for. Car originally sold by Continental, then by LFSC.

Would love to have Brian or Dave work on this car, but they live too far away...

    Questions:

    1) Better to do major service before sale, or sell and let next owner do it?
    2) Any independents in Chicago/Wisconsin that still do majors? I thought 10 years ago or so some mechanics from LFSC left and started a company on their own?
    3) Better to sell through Ferrari Continental or LFSC?

Might list on Ferrari chat too, not sure.

I think that may vary some depending on the dealer, etc. When I bought my 360, the dealer charged the seller 10%, assuming the sales manager wasn't fibbing to me.

Last car I put on consignment (albeit a $30K+- car, not a $150-200K car) was 10%. No other fees, flat 10%. It was at the same dealer I bought the car from, but for him, 10% is what he charges, and I asked if price made a difference he said, "Nope."

Would recommend you get the service done before you sell....most buyers would want that

Consignment fees I think are in the area of 5-10%

James at Apex Motorsports is a former head mechanic at Lake Forest Ferrari but you'll have to drive to Buffalo Grove. Great guy, fantastic mechanic and reasonably priced. Good luck.
