Exactly what I said, when I saw the silly plastic fake engine block case during a classic car exhibition in Basel/Switzerland exactly 7 years ago, shortly after the book was released. And had to deal with an almost as silly dumbass, who watched over the Taschen bookstand. The other experience was a 50ml espresso at € 12.00 (USD 14.00) at the Lindt/Sprüngli coffeestand.

    Best from Germany

More than a year ago, @thepinkumbrella posted having found this rare book. Since then, being a 275 fan, I tried in vain to find another copy. Therefore, I would like to post a cry for help now: If there is somebody out there who owns a copy and would like to part with it, please DM me (Paul, I truly hope you don’t mind that I use your photo; all credits to you).

I think the AJ Foyt biography might be a good buy, too.

As of today, the book web site has been suspended. Tried makgroupbooks and it comes up as account suspended. WTF?

I think the IMSA history bundle is a great value at $99. The original price of the two books was $175!

Puzzling , quite a difference in price between the two.I would personally settle for the standard one .Even that one will have superb production values.

His twin volume GT2 book was superb. No doubt this one will continue in the same vein.

The second book has a narrower scope, concentrating on the RS3.8 and the RSR3.8 only.

As to the limited edition, which demands a premium of 100 euros, the website states:

"In total only 964 examples are linen-bound. Of these 964 copies, 300 books are Rubystone Red (180 in English and 120 in German), 300 Maritime Blue (180 in English and 120 in German), 200 Pearlgray (120 in English and 80 in German), and 164 Green (98 in English and 66 in German)."

My excuses for furthering this off-topic topic, I will stay quiet now on non-Ferrari stuff.

Not to fuel the Porsche discussion, but just to clarify (readers more clever than me may not need it, but it's better for my understanding):
    - the books (German and English) mentioned in post #8108 are limited editions of a new book
    - the very same books will exist as standard unlimited (limited to 3,000 actually, 1,140 in German, 1,600 in English and 260 in French) for a price reduced by €100
    - the book I mentioned in post #8109 is an older book, with a reduced scope a mentioned in post #8111 - but it's cheaper by another 128 € than the standard edition of the newer book
Given the huge production numbers of the new book (at least in standard edition), there is no hurry to decide which to buy I guess - the "old" book I mentioned was limited to 964 copies in German and 964 in English (the same as the clothbound limited editions of the new book); it was published in 2017 and 2018 and is still available.
