    Hi Marcel,
    a slightly different question;
    My friend is interested in a Dino for sale, its a UK car and is in good condition and has a non matching engine.
    Chassis is 5278 and engine is 0009707. It also came up on this forum about 8 years ago.
    The history is good but patchy and no mention of an engine swap is noted.
    Tony Willis's Maranello UK also notes the engine number as non original.
    As far as I can see the engine number looks as if its from the correct period, ie 1972/1973
    Is it possible to find out from the number if the engine is from another car or a replacement from Maranello?
    many thanks

    Dear forum members, I intend to buy a Dino 246 GTS. I have four vehicles in the final shortlist. Could someone in the forum provide information about the vehicles (original color, engine number, and transmission number)? Thank you very much for your help and support.
