Though I was there, I didn't pay much attention after we moved after the 2nd full course yellow in as many green flags thrown. I left before it was over, but I'm pretty sure there was a moment that affected the race results with ~75 minutes left. Trying not to spoil...

Just read a race report ...22 of 66 laps run were full course yellow. That flatters the time spent under yellow, which will be far more than 33% since yellow flag speeds are, of course, much slower. John Doonan, IMSA President, said in a brief interview during the race he hoped there was more racing than yellow flags. Now THAT is an ambitious goal! < disgusted sarcasm> Like the fans of long losing ball sport teams, IMSA fans will have to start wearing paper bags over their heads.
On Saturday, FCYs(is there any other kind for IMSA?) during the feature race made for a number of 'fans' napping as I was leaving Fireman's Hill. I laughed.

They have to adopt the WEC way of doing it.

Road America was always terrible for yellows though because of the size of the place. It takes forever to gather everyone back up.

I think all the IMSA cars have the same screen (or similar) for race control info

they do seem to have given up on local yellows for some reason

I have been watching the replay of the Michelin Pilot Challenge race and it is the same story. Just a big caution fest.

Last minute decision to head down for Petit. My favorite race of the year.

Unfortunately infield parking is already sold out so that will be a whole bunch of extra walking for me.

Infield parking sold out but oh well.

I actually looked up golf cart rentals. $729 for the weekend plus tax and a 3.5% cc fee. No ****ing way

Our golf cart wouldn't make it up that hill with 4 people. 2 had to bail
