    Is that a timing variator connector?

    This is something you either know or you don't. Both variators have the same wire colours (black and white) and they are wired in parallel with each other, so it's impossible to do continuity checks on the wiring. You'll have to go by tape colour.

    However, in theory, it shouldn't matter which is which because they are wired in parallel. They are both powered by the same relay (relay 53 via the white wire) and use a common ground (black wire). Aren't the wires different lengths? (as per the diagram)

    I thought you had a Spider? The diagram shows a Modena.

    The cable have a blue tape .

    Maybe I misunderstood the question. Do you have two unidentified connectors and one has blue tape on it? And you want to know which connector goes on the left side and which connector goes on the right side?

    So which variator actuator doesn't have a cable attached to it? 14S or 16S?
