Just had my plenum powder coated. And despite me SPECIFICALLY telling them I didn't want them to blast ANY of the surface that doesn't already have paint on it... they did anyway.

So I've sanded all of the surfaces with 400 grit and knocked them down smooth.

I don't think there will be an issue with the throttle part since that is gasketed, and the lower ports have a beefy gasket.

BUT the cold start injector does not have a gasket (at least there wasn't one on there when I removed it)

Am I going to have an issue with leakage there without a gasket?

My thought at this point is to use a little RTV just enough to fill in the imperfections and go with that.

But wanted to post here for any sage wisdom.

    Thanks for any help.

I think the cold start valve has an o-ring instead

I know on TR they eliminated that gasket, and if both surfaces are flat and smooth it shouldn't be a problem, but, on the V8s, I believe they did have a gasket there -- item 10 here:

Yeah the valve itself does, but I'm talking about the metal housing the bolts onto the plenum
