Very strange noise. Need help

    Can anyone help me. Ferrari dealer has been no help as every time I take the car to the dealership it doesn't make this noise. Noise coming from rear left side behind wheel. It sounds like some kind of a pump straining to fill something up. As you can hear. At the end it sounds like whatever it is has finally got what it needs and slowly becomes quiet. The noise is pretty loud when it first starts it. There is no specific time it does this and thats what is driving me crazy. It is getting more frequent ohhh except when the dealer has it.

    Does this happen on cold start only then stops after a short time?

    Sounds like a pump whine from something that has lost its prime while sitting. Seems to dissipate once pressure builds.

    If the car is parked at an incline (in either plane) try parking the other way round and see if it stops happening. If it does, like @JesseRohr says something may have lost its prime and that may be due to a loss of vacuum which typically means a small seal bleed and should help narrow down which component it might be.
