Haven't seen one like this B4 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-Testarossa-Gemballa-1987-Ferrari-Testarossa-Gemballa-ONE-OF-A-KIND_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6212QQihZ017QQitemZ270018176147QQrdZ1
I think it looks amazing. Would like to see it in another color, say silver? Check out William H's track car. Peter Hatch
Gemballa built two cars. I have a NOS original Gemballa body (all the parts incl BBS wheels that have never been fitted to a car) to convert a testarossa into a Gemballa. Interested? PM me.
I saw that thing pop up on Ebay and threw up in my mouth. Sadly I was at work and had to swallow the aforementioned puke. It resembles the slutmobile and the horrid silver sister car. No offense to William, but those 2 cars are just plain fudged up. Removal of the side strakes should merit forfeiture of the car...
Sorry, but William H's silver race car looks awesome without the side strakes. Look at how much wider the fenders are for the rear tires. It is a work of art.
saw that earlier today made me want to throw up IMHO the testarossa has one of the best appearances of any stock ferrari out there thats not to say any ferrari is really ugly but the testarossa is just gorgeous, leave it that way. -Thomas
I went back to the Ebay auction and reviewed the black and silver slutmobiles. And I just can't dig that mod. But personalization isn't a bad thing at all if it makes YOU happy. We should all be so lucks as to ahve 2 boxers to hack on Lord knows I sure don't.
Koenig's "Evolution TR" looks fabulous IMHO (that is what WilliamH's car is)......this thing, like most of Uwe's 1980's stuff is a matter of very strong personal taste.
Anyone interested in a 1990 Camaro that's yellow and appears to be a TR? ...............Oh that is a TR converted to look like a 1990 Camaro that appears to be a TR.............or is it a............................terrible, rates up there with the Fiero based F car as far as visual.......
A yellow Gemballa TR was featured in a Road&Track Ferrari special issue November 1990. I believe it's the same car. I've seen another TR in Germany with a very similar body kit. This was in late 1989. Best, Peter Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
A TR without the side strakes is like a woman without breasts. They can both be beautiful without ... but why mess with either?
I think you just hit it on the head. All these "modified" red heads look like Fiero kit cars. I knew there was something about them that triggered that same gag reflex.
And I saw this one in 2008, maybe the same car as I saw in 1989. not the full Gemballa treatment and probably a Koenig front bumper, but overall a Gemballa conversion nonetheless. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Heres another dreamer.. First thing I would do is weld the original top back on. with that top configuration..I would estimate a value of $ 175,000.00 to $195,000.00 Without replacing the A pillars completely..This is a Death Trap. https://ads.ferrarichat.com/buy-ferrari/testarossa/zffta17b000055885
