296 Extended warranty costs

I’m considering purchasing a 2023 296gts and would like to keep it about 5 years. What would most owners recommend for extended warranty? Hybrid warranty? Costs? Thanks

 

It shows your in Florida. Just call Ferrari of Tampa or Naples and they will tell you the costs. There is no markup in Florida, by law and the warranty costs are the same. The factory warranty is 3 years bumper to bumper and 7 years for hybrid. You can extend bumper to bumper for additional years.

 

Don’t you need to keep “extra hybrid coverage” in place for the drive battery? I read something about keeping it in place until year 8 to qualify for a free replacement? So year 4-8? Or is this not needed and the drive battery is Fully Covered for 7 years?

 

so the hybrid battery has four more years over your basic three year warranty so if you have one year left of your three years and you add two additional years that means you’re hybrid battery also gets two additional years, correct

 

Best bet is call your dealer and get the most up to date and accurate info. They will be happy to explain everything and this has been a moving target over the past few years.

I was quoted $12,500 per year for this warranty, by Ferrari of Naples and Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale

 

With a preowned purchase from Ferrari- a 2 year extension is around $7K (I paid $6800).

 

cost me $8k to add 5 years
