Ok, place your bets! Some great rivalries this year. Detroit vs Cleveland. Boston vs NY. Dodgers vs Reds is old school. Image Unavailable, Please Login
What you saw tonight was the Dodger's story this year in one game. Great power Great starting pitching Absolutely horrific relief pitching
I don't gamble which is why I live in Las Vegas. No temptation here! Besides all the Phills have to do is wait for the 7th inning when the Dodgers start to put in releavers. Whatever the score was before that is irrelevant. None them can hit the plate. IMO, I give the edge to the Phillies. The Cubbies now go against the Brewers. They haven't a chance in hell. If I were to guess right now I think the Brewers take the Series over Toronto.
When your top five hitters go 2 for 27 and Schwarber is 0-7 with 5 Ks expect to lose. Offense did not learn a thing from Mets' debacle last fall.
dang. that's rough probably should have pulled the pitcher after walking the bases loaded in the 11th, though. maybe they didn't have anyone left in the bullpen by then?
The Phillies lost the series in Game 2 when Dave Roberts did everything he could to throw the game to them. Mookie bailed him out calling the Wheel Play. Once game 2 ended with a Dodger victory, it set up the pressure in game 4.
I never gamble. But I was pretty sure the Dodgers would lose anyway. Their relief pitching is abysmal. I would LOVE a Dodgers / Cubs series.
Ohtani had a bad series against Philly but no one talks about the fact that he brought in the winning run in Game 2. It seemed meaningless at the time but it proved to be the only reason why the Dodgers won that game.
But he had to be put into a position to win the game for them. I view it like a race driver that 'inherits' a win after running 2nd all day, when the leader runs out of gas on the last lap - you have to be good enough to get to 2nd place, and most likely the leader should not have 'led' all day - that takes more gas to do...
Cubbies go down but I thought it would be 3 straight. They gave it a good fight. Milwaukee has a great team.
The TV people only want to see LA/NY, or LA/Chi, or LA/Boston, pretty-much LA and some other big market. In ANY sport. Me? I don't give a **** anymore, because I like certain players, and those players change teams as fast as I change my socks, so what 'city' they play for doesn't matter. I'd watch Ohtani, Skubal, Skenes, Raleigh, Judge no matter who they play for. I don't think I've ever seen Mike Trout play - ever. Basketball is worse - you cannot keep track of who is where anymore, and that's why I seldom watch it, but I am curious to see how Cooper Flagg does in Dallas. (I sure do miss the heyday of the Bruins, Rangers, Flyers and Canadians back in the day, before the Oilers and Islanders)
I think if Toronto is in the WS ratings will tank worst of all. Toronto vs Milwaukee would probably be the ultimate worst.
