Went to Road Atlanta for the first time ever this last weekend to see what it was all about. We expected a bigger track and higher attendance - given our familiarity with Road America and the vintage events held there. Still, the competition was solid and a number of leaders gave up their position due to mechanical failures late in several of the races. Notable celebrity drivers there included Jim Farley and Dennis Olthoff. A good time all in all.

This poor, hapless soul shunted his Ferrari off the track with likely minor damage...

The "big" vintage event is "The Mitty" in the spring (even that has waned considerably). HSR attendance is pretty low...plus everyone showed up this past weekend for Petit Le Mans.

Europe and UK have dozens of historic races and tours every year. They’re well attended a participated in. I’ve never understood why we don’t had more (and better) here.
