Hello all and thank you for any responses in advance. I recently purchased a 296 GTB and inquired about obtaining a speciale. the dealer told me I needed at least a 4 to 5 car history with Ferrari and close to million dollar spend to be considered for an allocation. Is this indeed Accurate? or is he just trying to get me to buy more cars. Based on some of the other threads on here it seems the answers are variable. Thanks again!

It would help to better understand the treatment from your Ferrari dealer if you tell us which market you reside in. The USA is treated differently than the EU. Or the UK for example which always seems flooded with new Ferrari allocations.

For a Speciale GTB FNA requires any recent Ferrari in the garage. The rest is up to the dealer. The Aperta requires numerous cars (3-4 in garage?) and an invitation/ approval from Ferrari N.A. There is exact info on the forums if you do a search.
