I pulled the trigger on a 2017 sea dweller 43 the year of the 50th anniversary at below msrp. Will arrive next week. Excited to have found my Rolex after a long wait.

making a couple other adds. Really appreciate the group.

Just opened the sea dweller 43 with my wife. She and the kids (who are grown) say it’s their favorite of my 4 watches. It will likely get a lot of wrist time this summer.

    love it.

  5. I visited my dealer & got on the waiting list for Sub date oyster steel yellow gold. About 2 years, was the guess. Funny thing is I mentioned small wrists & he said very guy thinks he has small wrists & every girl thinks she has fat wrists. I tried the show model on, felt lighter than I expected, don't know if that's a good or bad thing. I'm gonna buy a different version (43 mm?) for the wait now, maybe sell it when the other watch eventually shows up, sounds like a decent plan anyways.

Are you by chance related to the Morrissey’s that have a jewelry store in Des Moines IA?

  7. Rolex dealer just called & I'm on my way to pick up a Bluesy. Oh boy, that was fast.

  8. I forgot to post a few pics. One is the boxing that is used for shipping. I will fess up that I was planning on a 2 year wait & not 3 months. Caught me off guard a bit. The problem was if I passed it would be a much longer wait. I was told that Rolex is sending out as much as possible to avoid a tariff & the dealer pulled some strings for me because of many connections ( the first was me stopping to render aid when he was broke down on the side of the road in an old e type).

I guess I'm the only one that feels this way, but I think that the Sky Dweller is the best looking watch Rolex makes. So many of the other models look like each other and frankly look pretty boring (especially how other companies copy them).

I tried on a full yellow gold green face Sky Dweller and that is the be-all end-all of Rolex for me.
