Yes, but $2mm is a never-before-achieved pricing level for a GTO, and you could argue that a Rosso Corsa, no-stripe car would be the least valuable delivery mile 599 GTO. The point is, owners / holders / sellers of the other special edition V12s can't be blamed for raising their valuations when they see a GTO selling for ~50% more than it would have achieved at the start of the year.
i just noticed the price jump there also, but it is not surprising given it is the best modern n/a ferrari built. the question is whether the base model will follow in price increases. i havent seen it yet, but they seem like a good deal in the low/mid 200s. btw, my tdf (which went to ferrari of seattle when i received my sf90xx) has been sold after a few months .
Carrio Motor Cars currently have 2 cars for sale. Just recently they had 3 on sale at the same time. Anyone knows what is the asking price? https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicle/749648007?allListingType=all-cars&city=Houston&makeCode=FER&modelCode=FERF12TDF&searchRadius=0&state=TX&zip=77027 https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicle/754631347?allListingType=all-cars&city=Houston&makeCode=FER&modelCode=FERF12TDF&searchRadius=0&state=TX&zip=77027
Don’t know. Don’t care. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/warning-carrio-motor-cars-do-not-buy-from-them.655248/
You way overestimate the value of a delivery car. Every year they are more rare and therefore average selling price grows even less by comparison. The 599 is a stinker compared to TDF!
from experience, I prefer buying a used car that has put 125-250 miles on the road per year than one that put all the miles in year 1 and near zero the next 9 years. My range of 125-250 miles/year is driven by the years since delivery. I am happy with a 10 year car that has 1250 to 2500 miles or a 20 year car with 2500-5000. I’ve had unexpected, significant service with older, “delivery miles” used cars.
Sorry, can you clarify? What am I overestimating about the value of a delivery (mile?) car? RM sold a Rosso Corsa GTO w/ no stripe for >$2mm in Monterey. Are you saying another delivery mile GTO in a different / more unique / better specification wouldn't sell for even more? And while I agree that the delivery mileage examples are more and more rare every year, I'd argue that that rarity only increases their relative value over time. For example, a delivery mile F40 would see a larger relative premium vs. an 'average' F40 than a delivery mileage 599GTO vs. an 'average' one. And your last point seems to be a common sentiment, which goes back to the point I was trying to make in the post you quoted... If a GTO can reach that price, then the price of a TDF will increase... I think we're agreeing here!
Sorry. Typed overestimate instead of underestimate. That 599 you quote is nearly 3x a non-delivery mile car solely because of mileage.
Carrio (I know, I know) wants 2.1 to 2.4 for the ones they have. The one with 251 miles was offer only. Has anyone heard of recent transaction amounts? Last one I had personal knowledge of was 1.5 and that was a couple of months ago. 1,700 miles nice spec.
2016 Ferrari F12tdf sold for $1,703,250 USD in Zurich on 10/11/2025: https://rmsothebys.com/auctions/id25/lots/r0025-2016-ferrari-f12tdf/
I wasn’t surprised by the TdF result. I couldn’t understand the 812Comp result as it’s price here in the Northern California area is much higher
Competizione had the wrong color, is not very popular and rare, and TDF was in Rosso Fuoco, which is very rare and also had the signature of the last world champion on Ferrari.
