hybrid sports cars are the future. Only way to build torque and meet mileage requirements for fuel efficiency. My 296 gets over 30mpg.

The problem with that line of thinking and using one marque (i.e., Porsche) as a benchmark for the reliability and durability of hybrid drivetrains is that each marque has their own take on merging EV with an ICE.

For example, the 992.2 GTS uses an electric turbocharger, which no other marque uses.

The 296 uses the TMA and MGU-K systems, which is infinitely more complex than the T-Hybrid system in the 911, and the SF90 is even more complex with multiple electric motors. The Artura is somewhere in between what Porsche and Ferrari do. Plus, unlike the 911, the Ferraris and the Artura are PHEV.

So really hard to judge based on one marque, or any marque.

Over 30 mpg for an 830 hp supercar. That's amazing. I mean, my F8 is a gas guzzler like it's nobody's business. Every time I do a pull I feel like I just burned a gallon of fuel.

Ferrari F80 and several AMGs. Audi also uses a separate electric compressor in conjunction with conventional turbos.

What mode are you in to get 30 mpg? Hybrid? I actually drove to town the other day in hybrid mode. I have to say, pulling up to a stop sign silently and leaving it silently is a peculiar feeling in this car! LOL

I spend most of my time in qualifying mode. Have not checked mileage but pretty sure it isn’t 30 mpg in Qualifying! :)

    Yes, agreed.

Not saying those setups are exclusive to Ferrari (or the 296/SF90), but merely as a point of reference that there are so many different hybrid setups that it's hard to take on data point and extrapolate to the population as a whole.

Just because the T-Hybrid system in the 911 maybe bulletproof really does not say anything about the reliability (or lack thereof) in the 296 system.
